We are seeking a motivated and dependable Crude Hauler to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting crude oil and related hazardous materials to Price, Ut. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will contribute directly to our operational success. Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers, including flatbed and tanker trucks, to transport crude oil and hazardous materials over designated routes
- Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper securing of cargo in compliance with logistics cargo handling procedures
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain schedule accuracy
- Follow all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations during transportation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including manual handling checks and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, including logs of hours driven, cargo manifests, and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or any route adjustments needed
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or tankers
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards
- Skilled in route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning.
- Mountain driving experience is a must.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to hazardous materials and tanker operations
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
- Ability to manage manual transmission trucks confidently in various driving conditions
We are leased to ITL in Roosevelt, Utah. This is a 1099 position.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
