What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at Whitefish Search Partners?
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plant.
- Cost Accounting: Track production costs, analyze variances (material, labor, overhead), and monitor inventory valuation.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budget process and develop regular financial forecasts.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and local regulations.
- Operational Analysis: Partner with the plant manager to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Experience: 6 years of accounting experience
- Cost Accountant or Manufacturing experience
- Supervisory experience is preferred
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
