Facility in Ketchikan, AK seeking Hospitalist locums coverage

Rates: $190-$200/hr

• Start Date: Expected May 21, 2026.
  

• Duration: 6 months (Intermittent coverage for approximately 1 week per month).
  

• Schedule: 12-hour variable shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
  

• Shift Details: Day and Night shifts available; no formal call required.
  

• Gaps to Fill: Current specific needs for May, June, and July.
  

The Hospitalist will function as a solo provider, managing both Med/Surg and ICU patients within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.

• Daily Census: Average of 10 cases per day.
  

• Patient Demographic: Adults (18 ). While Pediatricians admit and follow their own patients, the Hospitalist may occasionally be consulted.
  

• ICU Management: Responsible for rounding and admissions in the ICU.
  

• Required Procedures: * Ventilation Management: Required.
  

• Intubation & Central Lines: Highly preferred.
  

• EMR: EPIC (Experience preferred).
  

• Working Solo: Yes.
  

• Board Status: Board Certified (BC) in Hospital Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
  

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
  

• Licensure: Active Alaska (AK) State License and AK DEA in hand (Required). No "willing to license" candidates.
  

• Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS (Required).
  

• Case Logs: Must provide documentation of IM or FM services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges from the past 24 months (waived for recent graduates).
