We are looking for an experienced SEO Content Writer to join our team. In this position, you will create high quality, SEO-friendly blog posts and other on-page content for our diverse range of ecommerce clients.
Job Responsibilities
You are a self-motivated, proactive, organized, and collaborative content writer with a passion for creating high-performing content. You have a solid understanding of SEO copywriting best practices, and the ability to implement content optimizations based on recommendations from our SEO team. You have a knack for planning and time management, and love the challenge of managing multiple projects at once (and the feeling of crossing them off your to-do list).

Our team is made up of professional, experienced freelancers working remotely to help ecommerce brands with a niche focus on improving organic traffic. Whitecap SEO continues to help companies of all sizes rank for competitive keywords throughout a variety of industries.
This is a part-time, remote position (approximately 10 hours per week). We have team members across all US time zones, but do require that your availability overlaps 4-5 hours with standard EST work hours.

Job Responsibilities
- Write high quality, on-brand, SEO-friendly content (short and long form) for ecommerce websites
- Brainstorm blog topic ideas based on industry trends, client products, company news, etc.
- Develop and manage content calendars for clients
- Implement on-page content optimizations (for category pages, etc.)
- Create SEO-optimized content for ecommerce product pages, such as product descriptions
- Use basic product information as inspiration for persuasive, interesting content ideas
- Schedule and lead client-facing meetings to understand their content needs and present your ideas
- Nurture positive client relationships through excellent written and verbal communication
- Turn unstructured client ideas and requests into high-performing content
- Effectively write in each client’s unique voice and according to brand guidelines
- Take full ownership of project timelines and delivery
- Coordinate tasks, timelines, and deliverables with internal team members

- Prior experience creating B2C content in the ecommerce space

- Clear, confident, and efficient communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive as part of a small remote team while working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
