Trading Operations Specialist

Our client, a leading quantitative investment firm, is seeking an experienced Trading Operations Specialist to join its growing fixed income team, in NY. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of trading and technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for overseeing key post-trade functions—trade clearance, settlement, and reconciliation—while also driving workflow improvements through automation and data analysis. Beyond day-to-day operations, you’ll contribute to dynamic, project-based initiatives that support the firm’s broader trading and infrastructure goals!

Job Function

• Assist with the clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of all trades, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Collaborate closely with traders, brokers, finance teams, custodians, and others to ensure smooth and efficient trade settlements.
• Partner with software engineers to further automate and enhance workflows, improving operational efficiency.
• Perform data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in the building and implementation of new systems and controls to streamline operations.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in a trading operations role
• Understanding of fixed income products.
• Experience with SQL is preferred.
