Provider Contracting Specialist - Non-Profit Program

WCS Healthcare is seeking a Provider Contracting Specialist to join a nonprofit program in the Bronx, NY. In this role, you will coordinate credentialing activities, ensure provider compliance, and conduct verification outreach. This is a hybrid position, with 2 days per week required in the office!

Job Function

• Coordinate provider credentialing processes to ensure efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve credentialing/re-credentialing delays and issues with enrollment.
• Manage confidential information for internal staff, including Physicians and Nurse Practitioners.
• Verify and update provider demographic information in the system.
• Prepare documentation for Credentialing Committee review and compliance audits.
• Conduct outreach to providers for verification, portal access, and medical record retrieval.
• Generate productivity and issue reports for management.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
