Plant Controller

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at the plant level. This role partners closely with operations leadership to drive cost control, improve efficiencies, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance.

Job Function

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage annual budgets and forecasts; track performance and analyze variances.
• Cost Management: Oversee cost accounting, monitor variances, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
• Procurement Oversight: Monitor purchase price variance (PPV) and support alignment between procurement activity and cost targets.
• Internal Controls: Maintain effective controls to protect assets and ensure compliance.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accuracy, valuation, and periodic reconciliations.
• Financial Analysis: Provide insights and reporting to support business decisions.
• Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations and leadership on key initiatives.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 5 years of experience
• Plant Controller experience- including both account and finance responsibilities
• Foods or other CPG experience is preferred
