WCS Healthcare is looking for a fulltime Medical Assistant in Wayne, NJ, supporting an Urgent Care and Primary Care clinic. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment while collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for visits according to clinic protocols.
- Perform vital signs, chart preparation, phlebotomy, lab sample collection, and assist with procedures.
- Support triage, registration, scheduling appointments, and point-of-care (POC) testing.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as directed.
- Operate EKG equipment and assist with diagnostic testing.
- Utilize EMR systems for patient data entry and retrieval (Cerner experience preferred).
- Float between multiple locations as needed
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification Preferred: CMA certification or registration (AAMA, NHA, AMT).
- Experience: Less than one year of related experience required; prior experience in urgent care, primary care, or other high-volume settings preferred.
- Technical Skills: EMR experience (Cerner preferred).
- Clinical Skills: Triage, vitals, EKG, POC testing, vaccinations, and medication administration.
- Other: Bilingual preferred; strong communication, professionalism, and reliability.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with patient registration and scheduling.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to multiple locations.
