LPN (Manhattan)

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a prestigious skilled nursing facility in Manhattan, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage patient care based oAn each patient's individual needs.
• Interview patients and accurately document medical history and physical condition.
• Obtain and monitor patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Provide routine nursing care and monitor patients' overall health and well-being.
• Assist with patient comfort and activities of daily living as needed.
• Assist physicians and Registered Nurses with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Prepare and properly handle specimens for laboratory courier pickup.
• Provide wound care and monitor wounds for changes or signs of infection.
• Prepare and administer injections and enemas as ordered.
• Monitor and provide care for catheters.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards.

Requirements:

• Completion of a state-approved LPN program.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice, or willingness to obtain the appropriate license.
• Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience required.
• At least 6 months of Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF) experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule:

• Full-Time: 5x8-hour shifts
• Part-Time: 3x8-hour shifts
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Day, evening, and night positions available.
  • Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM
