Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead all aspects of the accounts payable function within our corporate accounting department. This pivotal role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and expenses while maintaining strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. As a key contributor to the broader accounting team, you will drive success by optimizing financial processes, enhancing internal controls, and implementing scalable best practices.

Job Function

• Team Supervision & AP Operations: Lead the accounts payable staff to ensure the end-to-end integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of high-volume invoice processing and payment cycles.
• Strategic Vendor Management: Oversee vendor master data and tax documentation (W-9s) while cultivating strong external relationships to resolve complex billing discrepancies and optimize payment terms.
• Compliance & Policy Oversight: Direct the employee expense reporting process, ensuring strict adherence to corporate travel and entertainment policies through rigorous receipt verification and approval workflows.
• Treasury & Payment Execution: Manage the secure preparation and execution of multi-channel payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks, in full compliance with internal financial controls.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• 5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or corporate finance, with a proven track record in a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Technical Accounting: Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and general accounting principles.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience navigating complex ERP systems or multi-platform accounting software.
• Industry Expertise (Preferred): Familiarity with fund operations and financial reporting within the investment management industry is a significant plus.
