Registered Nurse First Assistant - Operating Room

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care duties in the operating room.
• Exhibit competencies in the care of and services provided to patients/customers in specific relation to their age and developmental stage.
• Communicate with surgeons on any special needs and adapt behavior to the specific patient population.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements.
• Maintain patient privacy and safety in accordance with compliance privacy program and standards of conduct.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room experience or 3 years of Cardiac Operating Room experience.
• Proficient in Endo and Radial Vein Harvesting.
• Current RN License in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Life Support Certification (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Current RNFA Certification.
• Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) preferred.
• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to adapt to change in a positive and constructive manner.
