Xray Technologist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of the Radiologist. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produces diagnostic radiographs while maintaining patient safety by utilizing established 

techniques and procedures.

• Operates radiographic equipment to the satisfaction of the Radiologist.

• Assures that the completed exam is submitted with all required paperwork complete to 

the Radiologist for interpretation.

• Assists in the administration of contrast agents.

• Responds to the needs of the patient.

• Practices sterile techniques and used necessary precaution to prevent cross 

contamination.

• Creates imaging discs for the patient.

• Troubleshoots any PACS related issues.

• Assists the Radiologist with fluoroscopic and other examinations as required.

• Maintains current knowledge and training on equipment and procedures.

• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations, 

registries and licenses.

• Maintains strict confidentiality.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct reports.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

• Current registration - ARRT from an AMA approved school and state certification.

• Current Florida license - CRT

• Current American Heart Association recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Minimum one-year experience in a broad-based radiology department, preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear. 

This position on occasion will require you to lift objects up to 40lbs. Strong verbal and written 

communication skills required. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to 

finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, balance, crouch or crawl. 

Ability to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling 

confrontations with poise and efficiency. Repetitive motion of upper body required for extended 

use of machines and computers. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position in an outpatient medical office setting. Days and hours can vary 

between all days of the week between the hours of 7am to 7pm. Based on business need, the 

ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, is required.

Travel:

This position may require travel to all White-Wilson clinics.

Work Environment:

This position requires regular and reliable on-site attendance.
