Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain jewelry features to educate and engage clients
- Assist with merchandising efforts, including arranging displays and maintaining visual appeal
- Handle POS (Point of Sale) transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell additional jewelry pieces or accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize inventory, and ensure all jewelry is properly labeled and displayed
- Perform cashier duties with professionalism, including cashiering, basic math calculations, and cash handling
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments
- Assist in product demos to highlight craftsmanship and quality of jewelry pieces
- Support team members with supervising experience in managing customer flow and store operations
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in luxury or jewelry stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers, including bilingual proficiency preferred
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining genuine customer care
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and visual presentation of merchandise
- Knowledge of retail math for transactions, discounts, and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Basic math skills necessary for daily sales operations and inventory counts
- Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is beneficial but not required
