Residential Painter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming residential spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance the beauty and value of our clients’ homes. Your expertise in surface preparation, coating application, and color matching will be essential in delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, stucco work, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Use hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless and conventional spray equipment), brushes, and rollers to apply coatings accurately and efficiently
• Interpret technical drawings and color schemes to match client specifications and ensure precise color matching through visual comparison techniques
• Conduct surface testing and quality checks during and after application to confirm consistent coverage and adherence to safety regulations
• Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing respiratory protection, using ladders safely, and adhering to all safety regulations on construction sites
• Perform fixture installation, minor handyman repairs, and maintenance tasks as needed during renovation projects
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and organizing tools and supplies for efficient workflow

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of construction site procedures and safety standards
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects is a plus
• Familiarity with structural painting techniques for various surfaces such as drywall, stucco, wood, and metal
• Hands-on experience with paint sprayers (airless and conventional), brush painting, roller painting, and construction spray painting methods
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and color schemes accurately
• Experience working on renovation or remodeling projects within residential settings is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities are required
• Prior exposure to industrial or commercial painting projects can be advantageous but is not mandatory
