We are searching for a candidate to become a permanent part of our team and though experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right person!
Role Description
We are seeking a full-time optician to join our team at White Salmon Eyecare. As an optician, you will be responsible for assisting customers in the selection and fitting of eyewear, taking measurements, and educating patients about lens options and contact lens fitting. This is an on-site role and requires a strong focus on customer service. This is a front desk position as well, where greeting and checking-in patients is common. Other duties include insurance eligibility verification for vision insurances and being able to explain and calculate benefits for patients. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder
- Basic math skills
- Proficient with computers and able to efficiently work within multiple software systems
- Embrace new technology and change
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Preferred (not required) Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- One or more years of experiencing as a dispensing optician
- One or more years working in an office environment
