Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Perform cashiering duties including cash handling and balancing registers at shift end
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and merchandising products
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Follow phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries
- Support supervising staff in overseeing daily store operations as needed
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or similar stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly desirable
- Knowledge of retail math for transactions, inventory management, and upselling techniques
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations is advantageous
