Hands-On Training
No prior garden center experience required. We provide training on plant care, watering procedures, stocking, and customer service. Prior experience with plants, landscaping, or outdoor retail is a plus.
Consistent Schedule
Part-time or full-time seasonal hours with a set schedule posted in advance, including one weekend day.

What You’ll Do
Customer Assistance & Sales
Greet customers, answer basic plant and garden questions, and help locate products. Read plant tags and signage to assist customers in selecting appropriate plants.
Plant Watering & Care
Use soil moisture testers and follow established watering guidelines for annuals, perennials, shrubs, tropicals, hanging baskets, geraniums, and begonias.
Water at the base of plants using proper equipment and techniques.
Adjust watering frequency based on weather and plant type.
Merchandising & Display Maintenance
Straighten, align, and organize flats and displays by type, color, and variety.
Rotate stock so older product sells first (FIFO).
Ensure signage and pricing are accurate and visible.
Garden Center Cleanup & Recovery
Remove dead or unhealthy plants (after consulting garden center lead when needed).
Sweep debris, pick up fallen leaves, and keep walkways clear and safe.
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly outdoor sales area.
Restocking & Replenishment
Stock incoming plants with matching varieties next to existing merchandise.
Water and space plants appropriately after stocking.
General Support
Assist with unloading deliveries, light lifting, and other outdoor tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
