- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Identify and resolve any issues with orders, such as discrepancies in quantity or quality
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss
- Use inventory management software to track and manage stock levels
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, supply chain efficiency, and procurement costs
- Comply with all safety and regulatory standards in material handling and storage
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and finance, to forecast future material needs
- Participate in the development and implementation of material management policies and procedure
- Monitor, maintain and manage inventory of materials and supplies.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze inventory levels.
- Forecast supply needs based on project requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and manage deliveries.
- Perform regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Organize storage areas for optimal efficiency, maintaining cleanliness and safety regulations.
- Communicate with team members regarding material needs and availability.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory levels and consumption.
- Comply with all organizational policies and regulations pertaining to materials management.
- Identify and suggest improvements to current procurement processes.
- Proven work experience as a Material Management Technician or similar role
- Proficiency in inventory management software
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Experience with purchasing and procurement procedures
- High school diploma; further education in logistics or relevant field will be appreciated
