Job Title: Precision Machining Instructor with Dual Credit Credentials preferred (V.U.)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Teacher to join our team, specializing in Precision Machining, blue print reading, Auto-Cad, MasterCam, and Entrepreneur (Enterprise) with Metal working. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for hands on experience. Opportunities to participate in or lead other extracurricular activities are also available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities for Machining and Manufacturing, aligning lessons with curriculum standards and student learning objectives.
- Teach a variety of Machining skills and develop the next generation of Machinists!
- Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, essays, presentations, and projects; provide timely feedback and support.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, counselors, and administration to support student academic and social development.
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
- Encourage student involvement and growth by supporting or leading extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, diversity, and academic excellence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and school events.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification/licensure, or a workplace specialist license.
- Experience teaching high school students, or extensive prior work experience in the Machining field..
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students both inside and outside the classroom.
Preferred:
Experience with extracurricular leadership, AP/Dual Credit licensure preferred.
