What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gelcoat Technician - Taper position at White River Marine Group?
POSITION SUMMARY This position requires hand application of masking tape to the inside surface of a mold in a specific pattern of stripe designs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Wipe clean with the luster cloth the inside of the molds where the masking tape will be applied. 5 %
- Using specific size tape, apply masking tape in a pre-determined pattern, free hand and/or with the use of templates. 90 %
- Place all supplies in storage and clean up at the end of the day. 5%
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Light lifting/ carrying less than 20 pounds
- Pushing and pulling molds
- Standing and walking
- Repeated bending and stretching
- Detailed manipulation with fingers and hands
- Depth perception
