What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Technologist - Safety Sensitive position at White River Health?
Job Summary: Performs a variety of laboratory tests for analysis; provides data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, maintain working knowledge of theory involved in testing. They are directly responsible to the shift and technical supervisor. Each individual performs only those test that are authorized by the laboratory medical director and includes high complexity test that require a degree of skill commensurate with the individual's documented education, training, and experience.
Job Requirements: Must meet the minimum requirements. 1.) Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or 2.) Bachelors degree in Medical Technologist (MT). Also must be ASCP or equivalent certified or registry eligible.
- Safety Sensitive - Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription meds and/or alcohol.
