Job Summary
The Senior Life Program Center Director is responsible for the daily operation of the Senior Life Program in the County.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for organizing and implementing activities for Senior Life Program and Senior Life Center.
- Assist with serving meals to disabled clients who cannot get their own meal.
- Assist with the recruitment of volunteers, plan their various duties.
- Prepare Consumer Registration and Home Delivered Meal assessment forms yearly and for new persons. This also includes annual reassessments.
- Be responsible for special events, such as fundraising and large events.
- Post service units to computer log daily for attendance, Home Delivered Meals, activities, transportation and other services.
- Maintain client confidentiality, do not release any information i.e.: phone numbers or other personal information.
- Be responsible for making bank deposits daily. Also, all expenditures must be recorded.
- Be responsible for meeting requirements of WRAAA site assessment.
- Be responsible for completing ARChoice (Medicaid) paperwork.
- Be responsible for representing the Senior Life Center at various meetings.
- Be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe Center.
- Assist with the transporting of clients.
- Be an advocate for Seniors, represent Senior Life Center at City Council and other organizations.
- Assist with managing county’s budget.
- Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor and Management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Good computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to operate general office machines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- General knowledge of basic office procedures.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to pass the state/federal required background check
QUALIFICATIONS
High school education plus one-year experience in general office work.
