Responsibilities
- Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, naps, and outdoor time to ensure safety and engagement
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and classroom management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming childcare environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Apply first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, following mandated reporting laws to ensure children's well-being
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing tailored care as needed
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques while fostering social skills and emotional regulation
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management strategies
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or children with special needs or disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with child supervision protocols, behavior management techniques, and mandated reporting laws
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Child and Pediatric First Aid), and child safety procedures is strongly recommended
- Classroom experience or daycare experience demonstrating the ability to create engaging learning environments
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members to support children's growth and well-being
