SYNOPSIS: In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf.
SEEKING:
ELSA (Female 25-30) Next in line for the throne and has been born with magical powers that can overwhelm her when she becomes afraid and harm others if not handled with care. Fearful of hurting anyone, especially her beloved sister, Anna, Elsa becomes anxious and withdrawn as she grows older, before eventually learning to take control of, and become confident in, her powers. (Vocal range: F#3 to D5)
ANNA (Female, 20-25) filled with a tremendous amount of light, energy, and love, she is a hopelessly optimistic extrovert at all ages, but as she grows older, she longs for connection with others, especially her sister, Elsa. A strong singer with great comic timing. (Vocal range: G3 to D5)
KRISTOFF (Male 20-30) a hardworking ice harvester who has a sarcastic veneer and a rough-around-theedges exterior that hides a big heart. Taken in by the Hidden Folk when he was young, he loves Pabbie and Bulda dearly but is a bit of a loner with a reindeer for a best friend until he meets Anna. (Vocal range: G2 to A3)
HANS (Male 20-30) The ambitious Prince of the Southern Isles and overlooked thirteenth son of a king. Hans constantly strives to find a way to make good and stand out. He boasts an exceedingly charming facade that fools everyone - including Anna and, ideally, the audience! - into believing he's Prince Charming, when really, he's just a jerk. (Vocal range: G2 to B3)
OLAF (Male, 20-40) Magical snowman with a childlike innocence. Experience with puppetry a plus. "In Summer" (Tenor Key): B2 - Bb4
WESELTON (Male 35-50) Male identifying. A visiting duke who possesses a huge inferiority complex. A short, bombastic, overbearing sycophant, Weselton's sole purpose is to hobnob with influencers and royalty. (Vocal range: F#2 to D4)
SVEN (Any Age) The lovable reindeer & fiercely loyal (and prankish) sidekick to Kristoff. Funny, inquisitive and intuitive. Dancers/Acrobats with strong upper body and core strength and stamina to operate a full body puppet. Height minimum 5’8” max 6’2”. NOTE: This role requires advanced puppeteering skills". If auditioning for this role please submit videos of you working with puppetry.
YOUTH ROLES:
YOUNG ELSA (Female, 11 years old) Bright, poised, elder princess of Arendelle who adores and wants to please her younger sister. She aims to be a perfect daughter, but wrestles with a dangerous talent. Soprano. (Vocal range: C#5 to A3)
YOUNG ANNA (Female, 8 years old) Energetic, free-spirited younger princess of Arendelle who dotes on every word and movement of Elsa, but her daring enthusiasm instigates rule-breaking. She is heartbroken when she is isolated from Elsa by their parents. Doubles as the Hidden Folk Child. A strong singer with great comic timing. Soprano. (Vocal range: G3 to D5)
