Operate heavy equipment: Locators, Excavators, Backhoe, Skid Steers, Wheel Loader
- Setting up equipment for daily use.
- Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely.
- Daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for their machines.
- Report safety hazards within the work environment.
- Use heavy machinery to complete a task.
- Complete and turn in required personal paperwork.
- Abide by all company safety rules.
- Wear proper PPE while on the job site and in the yard:
Education, Experience, Skills And Abilities
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of mathematics and basic calculations.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with others.
- Perform with minimum supervision.
- Perform heavy physical work, often under adverse weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot potential issues.
- Resourcefulness in learning new manuals and processes.
- Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks.
- Be Able to Obtain a CDL within the first 6 months
- Willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License preferred CDL A.
- Salary, commensurate with experience: Grade 124: [$24.20 – $30.79] hourly]
