CNC operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Operator will play a vital part in ensuring high-quality production standards within our manufacturing facility.

Duties

• Set up and operate a single CNC machine
• Program CNC machine using CAM programming and CNC programming to produce specified parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, programming, or machine operation.
• Handle materials efficiently, including materials handling and fabrication tasks within the manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members on projects.

Skills

• Proficiency with CNC programming languages and CAM software.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks for design interpretation and tooling setup.
• Ability to operate hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately.
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining operations.
• Factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup and quality control procedures processes is advantageous.
