White Oak Pharmacy is seeking a reliable, patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our tight-knit, independent pharmacy team in Nutley, NJ. Enjoy a supportive environment with no corporate pressure, consistent weekday hours, and every Sunday off.
Responsibilities
- Accurately fill, verify, and dispense prescriptions
- Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians
- Manage inventory and daily pharmacy operations
- Administer immunizations (flu, shingles, COVID, etc.)
- Follow up on prior authorizations and provider communications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers in acute care settings to develop treatment plans.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations.
- Stay current with advancements in clinical pharmacy practices and participate in continuing education.
- Promote a positive patient experience through clear, compassionate care
Requirements
- Active NJ Pharmacist License
- Active NJ Immunization License
- PharmD or Bachelor's in Pharmacy
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday: 11:30am to 7:30pm (close) and every other Saturday 9:15 am to 3:30pm (close)
- Closed every Sunday
- Every other Monday off
