Type: Full-time
The Medical Assistant is a clinical position responsible for certain clinical duties for the delivery of direct patient care and some administrative responsibilities. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC Clinic. Under the over-all supervision of the Clinic Manager and as directed by the clinic providers, the Medical Assistant exercises independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to foresee the needs of the patients, visitors, and providers as the needs relate to the scope of the back office.
This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Required Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Experience
One (1) year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic environment
General knowledge of healthcare field
Medical terminology knowledge
EMR experience
Preferred Licensees & Certifications
Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
BLS within 30 days of hire
