Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Process / Project Engineer to help drive the design, development, and execution of mixing and systems projects from initial quote through to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong process engineering background, experience managing capital equipment projects, ability to produce P&ID and related engineering documentation, and strong communication skills to coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Process / Project Engineer to help drive the design, development, and execution of mixing and systems projects from initial quote through to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong process engineering background, experience managing capital equipment projects, ability to produce P&ID and related engineering documentation, and strong communication skills to coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with commercial teams to review customer requirements and scope out engineering of mixing and blending systems, agitators, tanks, mechanical seals, etc.
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and project quotes.
- Develop detailed process flow diagrams, P&IDs, piping layouts, instrumentation specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Manage capital equipment projects: define scope, schedule, budget; procure materials/equipment; oversee fabrication, assembly, testing; ensure projects meet quality, safety, regulatory, and performance requirements.
- Work with internal fabrication teams and external suppliers and contractors to ensure deliverables are on time, meet specifications, and coordinate installation and commissioning.
- Ensure relevant regulatory documentation is complete and meets standards (e.g. cGMP, USP VI, sanitary surface finishes).Support engineering change management, cost control, risk identification and mitigation.
- Provide technical support throughout project lifecycle: resolve design or operational issues, iterate designs as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of process engineering best practices, mixing / agitation technology, materials, sanitary / hygienic standards, mechanical seals, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Prior experience (5 years) in process engineering, ideally with mixing / blending systems, tanks, agitators, or industrial process equipment.
- Hands‐on experience managing capital equipment projects from quote through completion.
- Strong ability to read, create, and revise P&IDs, flow diagrams, instrumentation and control specs, mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with sanitary and high‐purity standards (e.g. surface finishes, seals, documentation, cleanability).
- Experience with supplier management, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
- Good project management skills: scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, change control.
- Proficient with CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.), engineering simulation or process tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills: able to translate technical requirements for both customers and suppliers; strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail, problem‐solver mindset, ability to work both independently and as part of cross‐functional team.
- On-site in Lincoln, RI.
- Office and workshop / manufacturing floor interactions; occasional site visits or customer installations may be required.
- May involve overseeing assembly, testing, or troubleshooting in shop / field settings.
