About us:
White Lotus Farms is a collective of artisan makers - bakers, cheesemakers, chefs, and farmers. For the past 15 years we've served the southeastern Michigan community with fresh, hand-made, small-batch delicacies through farms markets and local specialty food stores.
We are now expanding into our first brick-and-mortar cafe and storefront. We will be serving our baked goods, sandwiches, pizzas, soups, salads, as well as pre-pared items to go.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic pizza makers with experience and a willingness to learn and adopt our systems and standards. Passionate about making delicious food with high quality ingredients.
Job Description:
Our pizza makers will be able to toss, prepare and bake pizzas quickly and efficiently, while following our cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules and procedures. The right candidate must love to work in a fast-paced environment, be dependable, and have a strong work ethic and ability to follow directions. Experience preferred but not required, training will be provided.
- Maintain a clean, organized, stocked station
- Use proper food handling, safety and storage techniques
- Follow recipes and restaurant specs
- Work as a team with the cook and help where needed
- Arrive on time and ready to work your scheduled shifts

Qualifications:
- Previous experience making pizza or in a kitchen
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- A passion for food and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs

Shifts:
Shifts will range from 6am til 8pm, Monday through Saturday
Timeline for training and opening:
Hiring is happening over the course of July and early August.
Middle of August, paid training will begin, running through cafe opening.
Early September, Cafe grand opening.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
