Position Information

Location: Brush Creek Ranch

Summary:

The Camp Counselor will work under the supervision of the Lead Counselor. This person will help facilitate the weekly arrival and departure of campers, teachers and special guests. Providing a safe and healthy environment for middle school age children.

Responsibilities:

• Help Lead Counselor plan, lead, and implements camp programs for children
• Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
• Ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen and camp site.
• Facilitates lesson plans for daily activities.
• Organizes and leads various small and large group activities.
• Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
• Will help prepare all meals and keep track of dietary restrictions/allergies for all campers.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by Lead Counselor or leadership.

Requirements

• Education or experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children or in a related field.
• First AID certification is a plus
