This is a Primary Care APRN position that will see patients in the Berea Primary Care Clinic. The two week rotating schedule consists of 10 hour shifts, allowing for every other weekend off.

BASIC FUNCTION
Provide primary care services, including assessing and managing patients in the clinic following established standards and practices.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable to the Chief Medical Officer.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
- Perform and record findings from complete medical history and physical exams. Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Complete in-scope procedures as appropriate. Interpret and integrate data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
- Conduct one on one patient teaching and education.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities and chart reviews.
- Discuss case with Physician and other care team professionals, when/as needed to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
- Prescribe or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. Administer medications and injections in compliance with state law and clinic guidelines.
- Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program. BSN, MSN preferred. Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus two years of nurse practitioner experience.
LICENSES
Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Kentucky. Certification by national certifying organization.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable to the Chief Medical Officer, and ultimately the Chief Executive Officer.
