Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional CDL A Company Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of trucks across regional routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with different trailer types, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work with a reputable company that values professionalism and reliability in freight delivery. It's a 1099 position.
Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmission across regional routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Drive 53ft dry vans only
- Load and unload freight efficiently at designated locations using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
- Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries in accordance with DOT regulations
- Follow designated routes for timely deliveries while adapting to route changes as required
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
- Experience of minimum 2yrs preferred
- Prior experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized trucks such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks is highly desirable
- Proven track record in freight delivery with route driving experience in a regional setting
- Experience with load & unload operations using forklifts or similar equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with truck driving safety protocols and DOT regulations for commercial driversThis role requires a reliable professional committed to safe driving practices and efficient freight handling. Candidates should possess strong operational skills and the ability to manage various types of freight loads across regional routes.
Pay: From $1,500.00 per week
