What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Coach/Certified Recovery Support Worker position at White Horse Recovery?
The Recovery Coach/CRSW exists to provide recovery support services to individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health. You will engage participants by promoting recovery, helping to remove barriers they face, connecting them with recovery support services, and encouraging hope, optimism, and healthy living.
A Recovery Coach/CRSW is responsible to:
1. Provide one-on-one and group recovery services including: Recovery groups and activities, Recovery Coaching, Telephone Recovery Services, Walk-In Services, Resource knowledge and referrals
2. Report recovery services to the RCO Manager, using appropriate technology or channels including Recovery Link, Echo Vantage, Email, Microsoft Office, completed paper forms, and verbal communication.
3. Become familiar with local resources, organizations, and assistance programs and applications, so that you can help to remove barriers for participants and provide needed resources. Get to know the community surrounding your center.
4. Participate in outreach efforts in your community to improve awareness and participation for the center.
5. Become familiar with and practice the four domains of CRSW (Advocacy, Ethical Responsibility, Recovery and Wellness Support, Mentoring and Education)
Additional Responsibilities:
· Reports to RCO Manager
· Answering and providing assistance for information/referrals
· Listening and supporting in-person guests/callers
· Answer and providing appropriate intervention for crisis visits/calls
· Collaborate with inpatient and outpatient substance misuse treatment providers
· Follow and Maintain agency policies, procedures, and productivity standards
· Any duties as assigned/required
Requirements:
· High School Diplomas or GED
· CRSW (Certified Recovery Support Worker) or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
· Excellent communication skills (listening/spoken/written)
· Time management skills
· Ability to use in-house EMR system and Office 365 Suite
· Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a like-minded team
