Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, patching, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and construction spray), and coating application for both interior and exterior projects
- Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
- Perform surface repairs such as drywall patching, plastering, stucco application, and fixture installation to ensure a smooth foundation for painting
- Conduct surface preparation tasks including sanding, scraping, masking, and surface cleaning to achieve professional results
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly while following safety procedures for respiratory protection and hazard prevention
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting covering interior and exterior surfaces with knowledge of construction site practices
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment
- Experience with surface preparation techniques such as drywall finishing, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and restoration work
- Prior experience in commercial or residential construction environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is valued highly
