Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement patient care for individuals in a correctional facility.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments under facility and state guidelines.
Respond effectively to medical emergencies and perform triage as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and correctional officers to coordinate treatment.
Document all nursing interventions, observations, and outcomes accurately.
Participate in infection control, quality improvement, and training programs.
Educate patients on self-care, medication compliance, and health maintenance.
Qualifications
Current Arizona RN license in good standing (or compact state license).
BLS certification (required).
One year of clinical experience preferred (correctional, emergency, or acute care experience a plus).
Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to function effectively in a secure environment.
