Minimum Experience Requirement:
- Previous experience within an LTC/Geriatric care required.
- Knowledge of Nursing and Medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care, including PPS.
Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and payer regulations. - Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of computer systems, system applications and other office equipment.
- Previous experience with quality assurance, documentation review, and appeals process.
- Current NYS licensure as an RN required.
- Recommended: Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator (RNAC) certification
