About the Role:

Join our team as an RN Educator for the Board of Education (BOE) — a rewarding position focused on promoting health, wellness, and education among nurses. This role is perfect for a dedicated Registered Nurse who enjoys teaching, building programs, and making a meaningful impact in the school community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver health education programs for BOE nurses
• Ensure compliance with BOE and Department of Health protocols
• Educate students on essential nursing concepts, including care plans, primary care, and medical terminology
• Facilitate classroom discussions, hands-on training sessions, and simulations to reinforce theoretical knowledge
• Assess student performance through examinations, practical assessments, and feedback mechanisms
• Responsible for signing off on, orientation and policy forms for each nurse and handing them to staff promptly
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience—school or community health experience a plus
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Passion for education and preventive health
