Job Summary
The Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring high standards of quality within a manufacturing environment. This position involves supporting production activities through quality control and assurance practices, including but not limited to, upholding the quality management system, conducting detailed inspections, and ensuring product conformity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer Internal Audit program; prepare audit reports, including findings and recommendations for corrective actions
- Manage third-party audit preparation, facilitation and post-audit responses
- Perform Contract Review and flow-down of specification requirements into work instructions
- Maintain and administer Purchased Product Verification process
- Create and administer Management Review meeting presentations
- Manage CAPA/RCCA process, including investigations and reporting
- Process FAI reports and technical process change reports
- Track nonconformances and report on trends to support continuous improvement efforts
- Facilitate supplier onboarding and customer qualifications
- Support training and awareness program requirements
- Perform and record production process validations on operators and equipment
- Oversee Lab
- Analyze and validate coating processes
Core Competencies & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field is required
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing quality systems (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft’s suite of applications including Excel and Word
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with using and handling Measuring & Test Equipment (M&TE), including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified AS9100 Auditor
- Experience with FAA Part 145 and NADCAP audits
- Experience working in a machine shop (milling, turning, grinding)
- Experience working in thermal spray coatings and/or solid firm lubricants

Physical Demands
- Stand, walk, bend, lift for extended periods of time
- Lift or move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Frequently operates a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment
- Occasionally moves about the production floor to perform inspections, validations, and audits
- Work in environment that may include exposure to noise, heat, dust or chemicals
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
