To support this growth, the company is seeking to appoint a highly capable Director of People, Contracts & Compliance.
This is a newly created executive-level position that will play a critical role in helping shape the future of the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be accountable for all aspects of people management, HR governance / compliance, managing commercial risk and organisational development. Acting as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, you will help to further build the existing infrastructure, processes, and governance frameworks required to support a growing international business.

The Opportunity
As Director of People, Contracts & Compliance, you will take ownership of several critical business functions that directly support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
You will:
Lead the People Strategy
- Develop and implement people strategies that support business growth and workforce planning
- Coach and advise leaders on performance management, employee relations, organisational development, and workforce challenges
- Oversee recruitment, succession planning, employee development, engagement, and retention initiatives
- Ensure employment compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead investigations, policy development, and employee governance initiatives
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
Strengthen Commercial Governance
- Oversee the administration and governance of customer, vendor, consulting, partnership, and confidentiality agreements
- Develop scalable contract management processes and controls
- Monitor contractual obligations, renewals, risks, and commercial exposures
- Act as a key liaison with external legal advisors on complex commercial matters
- Ensure robust contract governance supports business growth and risk mitigation
Drive Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop and maintain compliance frameworks across employment, governance, privacy, and operational activities
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on business impacts
- Coordinate audits, reviews, and risk management initiatives
- Develop policies and controls that protect the company's legal, operational, and commercial interests
- Support insurance, claims, immigration, and international workforce compliance activities
Support Executive Leadership
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
- Build scalable governance, compliance, and people infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve organisational maturity and effectiveness
- Support board-level governance activities and corporate administration processes
Who We're Looking For
This role will appeal to a commercially minded HR leader who enjoys operating across multiple disciplines and influencing decisions at the highest level.
The ideal candidate will have;
- Significant leadership experience within HR, Compliance, Contracts, Legal Operations, Corporate Administration, or a related disciplines
- Strong expertise in employee relations, employment compliance, organisational governance, and risk management
- Experience managing commercial contracts and agreement administration processes
- A track record of supporting executive leadership teams and influencing business decisions
- Excellent judgement, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to navigate complex, sensitive, and high-impact situations
A formal professional HR or legal qualification combined with experience gained within technology, engineering, energy, professional services, or industrial sectors would be particularly valuable.
