Job Description
We are a locally owned, community pharmacy, in search of a customer service oriented individual to join our team. You will assist in the triaging of incoming prescriptions, the delivery of filled prescriptions to the patient, cashier duties, and home delivery of medications. At our hometown pharmacy, we strive to provide our customers with friendly, personalized care and are looking for an individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, intake prescriptions at the pharmacy counter, and gather necessary patient demographic information.
- Perform cash register duties and assist patients with over-the-counter purchases.
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate pharmacy staff members as needed.
- Assist pharmacist in the delivery of prescriptions to the patient, including obtaining patient signatures and payment.
- Provide quality service to all customers.
- Perform cleaning duties to maintain a neat and organized professional pharmacy environment.
- Replenish stock of pharmacy supplies, including labels, prescription vials and caps, pharmacy bags.
- Place reminder calls to customers notifying them that a prescription is ready for pickup.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to cope with various levels of workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced pharmacy environment
- Willingness to be a team player and promote a positive work environment
- Basic phone and computer skills
- Self motivated and able to work independently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
Hours:
- Full-time position desired (36-40 hours per week)
- Pharmacy Hours: Monday- Friday 8 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Closed Sunday and all major holidays
- Typical clerk schedule would be Monday-Friday 8:30 am- 5 pm, and 1 Saturday shift per month.
