This position involves highly responsible supervisory and law enforcement work. The employee provides direct supervision, leadership, and operational guidance to a shift or unit of Deputy Sheriffs while performing general law enforcement duties. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-ranking Management-level or Administrative-level Supervisor (such as a Lieutenant or Captain) and is evaluated through reports, observations, and results obtained. Work is performed to protect life and property by enforcing all County and State laws/regulations for which the Sheriff's Office is accountable.
