The school secretary serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors and is responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day operation of the school office. This position provides clerical, organizational, and communication support for the principal, teachers, students, and families while maintaining a welcoming and professional office environment.

Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. Manage daily front office operations and maintain an organized, efficient workspace
2. Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
3. Greet Students, parents, visitors, and staff entering the school office
4. Maintain visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and campus security protocols
5. Support student dismissal and transportation communication
6. Serve as liaison between school administration, staff, families, and the public
7. Prepare and distribute letters, memos, and school announcements
8. Provide clerical support to the principal and instructional staff
9. Maintain confidentiality of student, personnel, and school records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
10. Assist with state reporting and data entry requirements
11. Maintain filing systems, both digital and physical
12. Support compliance with school and district policies
13. Other duties assigned by principal
