Responsible for managing the Sales and Operations of the Parts and Service Departments, including any associates working in the department. Responsible for creating alignment between the Parts and Service Departments. Ensures the Parts and Service Departments operate at maximum efficiency and profitability.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Manages the Parts and Service work order process as well as associates involved in the process.
- Manages and develops internal and external relationships with customers as well as vendors.
- Drives Parts and Service Sales and directs all Parts and Service salespeople (if applicable) to do the same, meanwhile monitoring margin and sales growth.
- Manages and monitors Service Technicians' efficiency daily and by the job to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability is achieved.
- Collaborates with Parts Inventory Analyst to ensure parts availability for counter customers as well as the Service Department.
- Ensures daily cycle count is completed, and organization bin locations are maintained in parts rooms and warehouse areas. Ensures Parts showroom space is clean and well stocked.
- Experience provides solutions.
- Ensures that work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures.
- Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5 years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
