Job Title: Lead Driller
Lead driller is responsible for the performance of soil test borings, CPT soundings, and hand auger borings for geotechnical engineering purposes . Lead driller is responsible for the quality of work and completing the work in the allotted timeframe. Lead driller is responsible for the care of company equipment. Drilling jobs are typically within 100 miles of Savannah, GA. Out of town work and weekend work will be required on occasion.
Job Description / Responsibilities: But not limited to – other duties as assigned
· Operation of drill rigs and support equipment.
· Ensure that all equipment is clean, maintained and mobilized as directed.
· Mobilizing field equipment from site to site and setup.
· Handling & operation of all tooling required for the performance of SPT borings, CPT soundings and hand auger borings.
· Maintaining field logs of soil borings.
Desired Skills & Experience:
· Being a Leader
· Certified Well Driller
· High School Diploma or GED
· Ability to routinely lift 80 to 100 lbs.
· Attendance/Punctuality – No show or habitual tardiness will be grounds for immediate dismissal
· Mechanically inclined
· Enjoy outside work
· Ability to perform relatively simple mathematical calculations
· Ability to follow standard testing procedures & consistently pay attention to details.
· Writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively.
· Good attitude and works well with others.
* Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR.
* CDL preferred

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
