Whitaker IT is representing a client in the Hattiesburg, MS area that is looking to add an IT Support Specialist II to their team.
This is not a traditional help desk role. The ideal candidate will serve as an escalation point for complex issues while supporting a cloud-first Microsoft environment.
What they're looking for:
• 5 years of IT support or systems administration experience
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune
• Experience supporting Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Knowledge of Conditional Access, MFA, endpoint management, and identity administration
• Exposure to Microsoft Purview, DLP, retention policies, or eDiscovery
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues escalated from Tier 1 support
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users, including leadership teams
• Experience supporting migrations, integrations, or cloud transformation initiatives is a plus
• Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MD-102, AZ-104, SC-300, or SC-400 are highly valued
• Occasional on-call rotation
