Whitaker Chalk is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with at least 5 years of litigation experience to join our firm.
Our Firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with at least 5 years of litigation experience to join our firm. This position will support two or three busy litigation attorneys in a highly collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparing, finalizing, and filing documents
- Preparing and finalizing client correspondence; maintaining attorney docket; and client meetings
- Handle administrative confidential/sensitive Firm and/or client information.
Experience & Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of legal assistant experience with Litigation in a mid-large sized firm; and be proficient in administrative tasks including, but not limited to: document preparation, expense reimbursement, telephone contact, travel arrangements, and docket calendar maintenance;
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to provide excellent client/customer service.
- Qualified candidates must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and E-Filing. Must exhibit strong typing skills and have the ability to learn and quickly become proficient in software programs;
- Candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication, strong proofreading, and organizational skills. Candidate should also be detail-oriented, be able to multitask, and have the knowledge and skills necessary to prioritize the workload independently; and
- Must possess a team-oriented mindset.
- Must be willing to address any work issues with their attorney(s).
