Overview
We are seeking motivated and dedicated Electrical Apprentices and Journeymen to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Electrical Apprentice will assist in various tasks related to electrical installations in mainly residential new construction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various electrical tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Participate in construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Help with frame carpentry tasks as needed to support electrical installations
- Complete tasks in installing boxes, wiring circuits, pulling wire and other rough- in work in a new construction residential setting
- Complete tasks in installing devices, light fixtures, and other trim work in a new construction residential setting
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential electrical work is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment
- Understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively
- Experience on construction sites is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
- Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take on new challenges
- Ability to work well with others
- Hard and fast paced work ethic.
