Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window Treatment Installer to join our team. This role involves installing a variety of window coverings, including blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies, in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate has a strong background in drapery installation, deep product knowledge, and experience working in clients’ homes or design projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction and carpentry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure precise and efficient installations. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a broad skill set in construction and fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Accurately measure windows and spaces for draperies, shades, and blinds.
- Professionally install a variety of window treatments, including motorized systems when applicable.
- Ensure all installations meet quality and design specifications.
- Communicate effectively with designers and project coordinators.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and workspace.
- Provide your own tools, transportation, and liability insurance.
- Fabricate custom components or modify existing fixtures to meet project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment on-site while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project status and any adjustments needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in window treatment measuring and installation.
- Strong knowledge of drapery styles, hardware types, and installation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and installation processes.
- Reliable vehicle and full set of professional tools.
- Must carry liability insurance and provide proof upon request.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with interior designers and custom window treatments.
- Familiarity with motorized systems (Somfy, Lutron, etc.).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
