Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Door Builder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing doors with precision and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble door components according to specifications or custom orders.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools (e.g., saws, routers, drills, sanders).
- Install hardware such as hinges, locks, handles, and glass panels.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or carpentry training is a plus.
- 1–3 years of experience in woodworking, carpentry, or door manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with different materials (wood, metal, fiberglass, etc.).
- Forklift certification (if applicable).
Work Environment:
- Primarily in a manufacturing or shop setting.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
